The Blue Heron is one of my favorite birds to observe. I really enjoy watching them as they wade through shallow water hoping to feed on small fish and eels. They are excellent hunters which can remain perfectly still for long periods of time, striking at just the right moment. Since the Heron prefers to hunt in calm water such as coves and ponds, I have made it a point to take notice of the serene and tranquil environment that usually surrounds them. The scenery is really breath taking and I created this piece in hopes of capturing this peaceful and beautiful moment.
Printed on Hahnemule Fine Art German Etching, 310gsm, archival paper with Symphonic Pigmented Inks.
