Ramon Matheu builds on the tradition of 1960's and 1970's Pop Art masters. His award-winning original artwork brings together bright colors and playful themes celebrating beauty and life while projecting an optimistic sense of energy and style.

Ramon attended Methodist College in Fayetteville, North Carolina in 1982 to study the fine art of print making and design. He later transferred to the Art Institute of Philadelphia and graduated in 1989 with an Associate Degree in Specialized Technology. Ramon has since worked with multiple mediums including print making, acrylics, sculpture, charcoal, computer graphics and digital photography.

Ramon worked in advertising as an Art Director for over 15 years in the Washington, DC area where he developed his strong knowledge of computers and designer software. His many years of Graphic Design experience has had a major influence on Ramon's creative work.

He currently lives on Kent Island in Stevensville, Maryland with his wife and two children. The Chesapeake Bay and surrounding areas provide an abundance of nature, beauty and wildlife which inspire many of his artistic creations.

Ramon's distinctive post-Pop style is a combination of radiant black outlines and vivid colors that put a fun spin on the various subjects he illustrates. Each piece is sketched by hand and illustrated using complex digital art programs. Ramon is truly an innovator using digital mediums to create his original pieces. Ramon's fine art prints are professionally printed with archival Ultrachrome, pigmented inks on textured fine art paper and sold in Limited Edition (LE) quantities.
